Receptionist Workflows
Morning Setup
- Log in to Portal
- Review today's appointments
- Prepare reception area
- Start accepting patients
Patient Check-in
- Search for patient (phone/ID)
- If new → Register patient
- If existing → Verify information
- Select doctor
- Generate queue number
- Direct patient to waiting area
Appointment Management
- Open appointment calendar
- Check doctor availability
- Book appointment slot
- Confirm with patient
- System sends confirmation email
Doctor Workflows
Start of Day
- Log in to Portal
- Review today's queue
- Review scheduled appointments
- Begin consultations
Patient Consultation
- Call next patient from queue
- Review patient history
- Record chief complaint
- Conduct examination
- Record findings (SOAP notes)
- Make diagnosis (ICD-10)
- Create prescription (if needed)
- Order lab tests (if needed)
- Complete consultation
- Call next patient
Lab Result Review
- Receive notification of results
- Review lab results
- Contact patient if critical
- Update treatment plan
Nurse Workflows
Patient Vitals
- Call patient from queue
- Record vital signs:
- Blood pressure
- Temperature
- Pulse
- Weight
- Height
- Note any concerns
- Return patient to queue
